HCX, The HaircolorXperts

Must See TV

"Salons are in the business of image-making, says HCX salons' Director of Marketing Andrea Peters. Salon companies should be equally focused on their own images. Since the franchise launched three years ago, HCX salons has created a brand known for its position on the cutting edge of technology."

IMAGE MAKERS

A significant aspect of that high-tech recognition comes from CyberImaging, a software program that lets a stylist download a client's picture on to a computer screen and show her how she would look in a variety of styles and hair colors. HCX salons incorporate the service in all of their locations.

"The CyberImaging company offers a lot of marketing support, and we've been able to co-brand them with our salon brand," says Peters. Plus we have targeted programs for Gen X and Gen Y, and CyberImaging is a big draw for those age groups."

Every new client gets "CyberImaged" as a part of her consultation. The service is complimentary for clients who receive a service that day; if they decide to come back at a later date, the imaging costs $20.

"It's very helpful for colorists," says Peters. "For instance, if a client wants a drastic color change that won't be especially flattering, they do the imaging and the client can see that for herself."

Peters says (CyberImaging) is worth every penny.
