Miami-Dade County Schools Standardize on CyberImaging  

Entire District has Deployed CyberImaging as an Innovative Learning Tool

RALEIGH, N.C. (July 26, 2005) -– CyberImaging, Inc., providers of advanced imaging solutions to the beauty industry, today announced that the 14 high schools and technical high schools in Miami-Dade County have adopted CyberImaging as part of their cosmetology curriculum. To date, more than 50,000 cosmetology students have used CyberImaging nationwide and are seeing its benefits as a learning instrument and marketing tool.

High schools and other educational and trade institutions including county colleges and cosmetology schools are implementing CyberImaging to enhance their curriculum and student experience. CyberImaging gives students the opportunity to use imaging technology to visually experiment with various combinations of styles, colors, face shapes and textures in a realistic, virtual environment. It also provides cosmetology instructors with royalty-free student exercises, which can be used in conjunction with the CyberImaging consultation to reinforce techniques learned in a student’s cosmetology textbook. The solution is updated regularly with hairstyles from the Family Album and Pivot Point International.

“As educators, our goal is to provide our cosmetology student’s with an education that is relevant to the world they will work in and the companies they will work for,” said David Schleiden, supervisor of cosmetology education for Miami-Dade County. “CyberImaging is not only a teaching instrument but also a product that our graduates will be prepared to use as a marketing tool during their careers as stylists and salon operators.”

Cosmetology programs that deploy CyberImaging also expose their students to how the technology is used as a marketing tool to increases revenue, enhances programs, promote products and differentiate salons. The latest version allows stylists to promote and associate retail products like hair color or shampoo to their client’s hairstyle simulation.
