For decades, people have been intrigued by the unknown. Charting foreign waters, exploring new territories, and experimenting with science have been tested by veterans and novice alike. Today, technology allows us to explore many exciting possibilities that have not been available in the past. Technology seems to have found a way to creep into every aspect of our lives, always simplifying our lives or revolutionizing the way something has been done for years. The CyberImaging System is no different. Never before has there been a product of this advanced degree available to the field of cosmetology. Now that the full possibilities of this technology have been realized, it, too, has transformed the industry.

As a senior in the Cosmetology program at Griffin Technical College in Griffin, Georgia, I was very excited when I was first approached by my instructor with the idea of writing an essay about the CyberImaging System. This innovative technology has allowed cosmetologists around the world, both students and professionals alike, to look past reality and envision the potential and possibilities of their clients. This revolutionary and versatile tool has created a way for stylists to explore endless possibilities of their abilities to transform a client’s look.

Naturally, people are terrified of the unknown and equally afraid of change. For the most part, people take great pride in their looks and maintaining their image. Just turn on the television or radio and you are exposed to numerous advertisements for heath and beauty products and solutions. Looks are big business. After all, an entire industry has been created that is centered around assisting people to look their best.

The CyberImaging System is a way to observe the unknown, without having to take the risk. Often times, changes are simply difficult to wrap your mind around. This is where the CyberImaging System plays such an important role. It can help to bridge the gap between your imagination and reality. Students in the cosmetology field are able to benefit from this advanced technology and ultimately reap the rewards as CyberImaging becomes a new form of training. This product gives students the opportunity to combine the hands-on skills they have learned in the classroom while actually being able to view the changes in the client’s appearance. I decided to interview a few cosmetology clients and ask them about their first thought when they heard “CyberImaging”. The majority of those interviewed mentioned “images of space.” I found this to be very interesting. We live in a world where our technology is so advanced – where we can send people into space to observe the unknown- why not utilize the advanced technology offered by CyberImaging to assist in our daily duties in the cosmetology profession?

The field of cosmetology can only grown more sophisticated while utilizing a tool like imaging. Students and stylists are able to learn the importance of a client consultation. Imaging can take all the guess work away and eliminate virtually all mistakes. So many times, what a stylist hears from a client is not always what they are thinking. Reflective listening is such an important component in this industry. Now we can not only repeat back to the client what they want, but we now have the ability to show them what may work the best.

As a student, we are able to use the CyberImaging System in so many different ways. Seeing what hair styles and cuts work best with different facial shapes and how incorporating color can change a client’s appearance is of tremendous benefit to students. Since color enhancement has become such an important dynamic in salon revenues, salons are able to use imaging to expose more clients to color who otherwise may be reluctant. Experimenting with color through the use of CyberImaging allows clients to see how the eye and skin tone changes with a certain hair color. Most importantly, it allows students to be creative and retain ideas to offer future clients.

For an advanced stylist, what better tool can be used to save time than CyberImaging? In this very competitive industry, time is money. Anyone looking for a change, both new and returning clients, can experiment with the program. CyberImaging is so easy that anyone can do it. With just a quick picture and a click of a few keys, you can enter into a world of endless possibilities.

Imaging challenges the stylist and gives them a new method of advancing their skills. After assisting a client to choose the style that best suits them, the stylist is then challenged with executing that same look. Clients are then able to see first hand the knowledge and talent of their stylist.

Word of mouth is the best form of advertisement. Having the CyberImaging System in your school or salon will not only boost your revenue, but set you apart from your competitors. The CyberImaging System shows the public that you are a first class, high quality salon with a focus on customer satisfaction. Clients will appreciate the cutting-edge technology used and realize how your salon differs from others. The before and after photos paired with the CyberImaging results will speak for themselves. This will surely increase salon revenue and attract and retain new clients.

As a graduate entering into this forever changing industry, I am so thankful for the training and opportunity I have experienced with the CyberImaging System. I am confident that I will be able to meet the expectations of my clients and I will be entering the workforce with the confidence and ability it takes to be the best I can be. There is a world of opportunity that awaits me and CyberImaging has played an important role in linking me to those opportunities.
